Congratulations DS Grads and Award Winners!! 

The 2026 Convocation Ceremony for graduating Majors, Minors, and Graduate Certificate Students and Award Winners in Disability Studies will take place Friday, June 5, 2026, 2:00pm, in the Husky Union Building (HUB), Room 250 and on Zoom. We hope that you will participate and join us to celebrate you & your classmates!

EVENT:

• When: Friday, June 5, 2026, 2:00-4:00pm
• Where: Husky Union Building (HUB), 2nd Floor Room 250 (see the HUB on the campus map )

• The ceremony will begin shortly after 2pm and the reception will start around 3pm.

ACCESSIBILITY INFORMATION FOR THE EVENT:

• Entrance: The north entrance from the parking opens onto the first floor and is accessible with a door paddle. The east facing entrance also has a door paddle. Take first floor elevator to second floor to access Room 250.
• Room 250 is mobility-aid accessible but has carpeting.
• Cupcakes, light refreshments, & beverages will be served during the reception. There will be vegan and gluten free options.
• We ask that attendees wear masks when not eating or drinking.
• There will be seating for about 70 attendees.

• There will be ASL interpretation available via zoom.
• Accessible Bathrooms: are located on every floor.
• Parking: visitor parking is available using Pay by Phone or Pay Station.

FOR THOSE JOINING IN THE HUSKY UNION BUILDING (HUB), WE ASK THAT YOU:

• Adhere to DS community guidelines by wearing a mask during the ceremony and choosing to zoom instead if you are feeling sick. There will be surgical masks available if anyone needs one.

PROGRAMS AND CERTIFICATES

For graduates who attend via Zoom or were not able to attend, we will mail you a printed Program and your Disability Studies Major or Minor certificate of recognition.
