Hello Disability Studies folks,

The ASUW Student Disability Commission will officially host its first 2024-25 academic year event, UW Disability History Night, on October 21st from 6 to 8 p.m. on Zoom. This event will center around the research and work of SDC's and DSP's dear friend, Toby Gallant, who through his capstone project provided a rich historical timeline of UW Disability activism throughout the years. The event will be an opportunity for the UW Disability community to connect, for Toby to share his work, and for the community to continue a dialogue about the progress UW has made with past Disability activism and the path ahead. This event is a product of collaboration between ASUW, the Student Disability Commission, the Office of Inclusive Design, and UW's Disability Studies Program.

A few notes about access: CART/ASL services will be provided, the event will be recorded, and all participants will receive a recording. Please let me know your access needs and any obstacles to participation through the RSVP form below.
