Harilyn Rousso is a renowned author, disability activist, feminist, psychotherapist, and painter. She will be reading from and discussing her new memoir Don’t Call Me Inspirational: A Disabled Feminist Talks Back. This event is free and open to the public.

Harilyn is a long-time disability activist and organizer from New York. She's especially well known for her work focusing on women and youth with disabilities. Her memoir is a fantastic read! It speaks to issues of intersectionality, self-identity, family, community, sex and relationships, and activism across political movements. She will also be taking part in a reading at the Associated Writers Programs Conference (AWP) in Seattle. Harilyn's work is featured along with two other writers, Ona Gritz and Jennifer Barlett, in a Friday 4:30 reading called "Don't Call Me Inspirational" at the Washington State Convention Center.
