Disability and d/Deaf Incarcerated Justice, Feb 9

Huskies for Opportunities in Prison Education (HOPE), an on-campus RSO dedicated to expanding education access inside prisons, is exploring different intersectional identities that incarcerated people hold during Prisoner Solidarity Month
 
HOPE is collaborating with American Sign Language Club for our first event in the series, Disability and d/Deaf Incarcerated Justice on Monday, Feb. 9th from 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm, in Miller 301.
 
The event will feature speaker Ben Wright, a Deaf man who is the Director of Disability Access in Prison Education and of Stop the Stigma, a national conference on disability, incarceration, and education. He also serves as President of the Board of the Formerly Incarcerated College Graduates Network.
